Nicole Love
Nicole Love is a senior English major at the University of Connecticut with a double minor in Sociology and Communications. At the Health Professions, Health Care, and Social Inequality Lab her role includes adding to the team literature review by researching relevant sociological/social science/public health literature on health professionals, occupational strain, stress, burnout, hierarchies, racial/ethnic discrimination in healthcare, and coping mechanisms at times of crises/previous pandemics. Nicole has prior research experience working on a large content analysis examining gender discrepancies in chronic pain experience, diagnoses, and treatment, as well as investigating disparities in VA healthcare for women and transgender veterans. She is currently working on publishing an article with a Sociology Department faculty member on how police stops impact mental health outcomes among the Latinx community.
