Krithika Santhanam
Krithika Santhanam is a senior honors scholar and BOLD scholar pursuing a dual degree in Molecular and Cell Biology and Individualized: Health Policy and Racial Disparities on the pre-medical track at the University of Connecticut. Outside of the Shower’s Lab, she is actively working on a creative documentary project grounded in Chennai, India which aims to provide a foundation on the sociological perspectives of disability in South India. She also volunteers through UConn Health Leaders to combat healthcare disparities by screening for social determinants of health and works on the pre-visit planning project where she screens to make sure patients are up to date on cervical, breast, and colon cancer screenings. Within the project team, she works to recruit frontline and non-frontline healthcare workers at the national level.
